Hello, this is Troy from Champion Plumbing out of Eagan, Minnesota. We’re going to talk about a tankless water heater and the one that we use is the Navien. This is the 199,000 BTU gas tankless water heater. It’ll give us about four and a half gallons a minute, which to put into perspective, your shower runs two and a half gallons a minute and not all of that is hot. So this will take care of two showers at once without a problem. This machine has a 15-year heat exchanger warranty and with everything that Champion does, you have three-year parts, labor, any problems, you just give us a call. The price for something like this starts around $4,500 installed. It’s a pretty big deal.
The reason they’re so expensive is the labor. They’re very labor-intensive. We have to retrofit your house. We change the gas, the water, and the venting. All gets rerouted and changed. So we’ve set up this one. This is how we set them up and bring them out to your house like this so we’re not in your home as long.
Hopefully, less than half a day for us to get it completely taken care of. The beauty of a tankless, right? You don’t run out of hot water. You can take shower or you could turn the shower on, go to work, come back. It would still be hot. Obviously we don’t recommend that, but you could. You just don’t run out of hot water. So that’s the appeal for the tankless water heater.
