Troy: Hey everybody, Troy and Cole from Champion Plumbing out of Eagan. We are in Inver Grove Heights today. Thought we’d get Cole in action instead of just in Cole’s corner. You want to explain what they got going on here, Cole?

Cole: So they want to do a ventless washer dryer in the basement. So we need a trap, and we need a standpipe to put that washer hose into, along with hot and cold water. So this is kind of their mechanical room. Looking around, we found a main stack coming from upstairs, which would be the best spot to tie in a washer-dryer without obviously busting up floors and stuff.

We can do that, but to keep the cost down, we can just tap in right here with our vent and our P-Trap. And then what we’ll do is we’ll put a standpipe up like this. Your washer hose will go into here. It’ll drain down the main stack to the main sewer, the vent will come off. And then behind us, there’s a basement bathroom that has vent pipe already. So we just need to take a vent pipe and tie into there. And then our trap will be vented, and we’ll tie our water lines and bring them down, and then they’ll hook their washer up.

Troy: So ta-da, they’re adding a washer and dryer setup. If you have a project like this or any plumbing needs, feel free to give us a call, (651) 365-1340. Click that subscribe button, or you can look us up on the web, www.championplumbing.net. Thank you.
