Troy: Hey there. Troy, at Champion Plumbing, out of Eagan, Minnesota. Today, we are in Hastings, and doing another water heater. This is a very, very, very tight little spot. This is the mechanical. Just this tiny little room. Water line’s coming out of the wall. Ceiling gas is coming out of the ceiling.
Teeny tiny spot, for what we’re doing, but what I wanted to show you is, the venting, the furnace, and the water heater, which sits right here. Vent up through the roof. This is single wall venting, which the old water heater had, all single-wall venting.
Nick’s already gotten all of that replaced with B venting, our clearance to combustibles with B venting, again, is one inch.
Our single wall venting is six inches, so. We see a lot of that, where they… I don’t know if they were getting away with it back in the day, or what, but they did. So everything else looks good.
They got combustion air back there, a good gas valve, a good water valve. Tiny, little, little spot, but we’re going to get them back up and running here. If you have a leaking water heater… I’ll show you the new hot water heater.
This is a RUUD brand. It’s a little guy.
