Cole:  Hello. Cole with Champion Plumbing out of Eagan, Minnesota. We’re over in Apple Valley today, looking at this main water main valve back here that’s very old and corroded, that just won’t shut the water off 100%. Obviously that’s not a good way to leave a valve. If you ever have a leak in your house anywhere and you want to go ahead and shut the main off and you can’t, not a good thing. Definitely be calling us right away.

So what we’ll do, they got three-quarters soft copper coming out of the basement floor up to it. We can go ahead and cut that off and we’re actually going to upgrade it to what’s known as the ball valve. I got it kind of mocked up here. Soft copper coming out of the ground comes into here. We flare that up to the joint and then we’ll 90º back into the water meter. So I’ll check back here shortly on the new one.
All right everyone, we got that new main valve coming into the water supply to the home here. Quick quarter turn shut off there to shut it off. That’s to turn it on.
