Using a tankless water heater means you’ll never run out of hot water again! In contrast to older water heaters, which heats up water after it has entered a tank, tankless water heaters will heat the water as it travels through the pipe into the unit. This means that once the water enters the unit, it is already hot and ready to be used.
Tankless water heaters are also more energy efficient than traditional water heaters. There are 2 reasons for this; first, with a tankless water heater, you’re only heating the water that you are using, so there is little waste. With a regular water heater, water is heated once it enters the boiler tank. If the water in the tank is not used, it will cool and need to re-heated before using. Secondly, tankless water heaters will heat the water as it travels through the pipe, which requires less energy than filling an entire boiler tank full of water and trying to bring that up to the set temperature.
